Google/DeepMind
Search engine giant Google introduced "SynthID," an AI watermarking tool that is (invisible) to humans. SynthID uses machine learning to apply watermarks to Gemini and Lyria-generated content.
Moreover, SynthID is currently in beta and has integrations across Google's ecosystem.
Meta
Social media behemoth Meta unveiled the results of an internally developed AI system that solved an over a century-old mathematical problem. Researchers claim that the mathematical tools solved Lyapunov functions that seek to determine ecosystem stability over long periods.
The functions are named after 19th-century mathematician Aleksandr Mikhailovich Lyapunov.
Anthropic
AI chatbot maker Claude made startling revelations about Claude, its flagship platform. According to the AI firm, its AI model can perform several manual tasks, including event planning, data entry, and website design.
Additionally, Anthropic revealed that the AI agents have errors and that the functionality is still in its developmental stages.
Microsoft
Similarly, software giant Microsoft took things further with AI agents that can handle several (basic) tasks, including lead identification and client requests. Microsoft also unveiled ten ready-to-go bots that can perform several activities, including supply chain management.
Consequently, several firms “caught the bug,” including McKinsey, Pets at Home, and law firm Clifford Chance.
Industry Dive
NVIDIA
At NVIDIA, things are becoming interesting on the personalization end. During its Indian-hosted AI summit, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang powwowed with Asia's wealthiest man, Mukesh Ambani. Huang revealed a twenty-fold increase in its Indian AI infrastructure within a year.
Furthermore, NVIDIA launched a lightweight Hindi-focused AI model.
Amazon One Medical
On the med end, Amazon One Medical launched several AI tools that enable seamless transcription of patient notes during consultation sessions. One Medical's AI ecosystem has several components, including AWS HealthScribe and Amazon Bedrock.
In addition, AWS powers Amazon's Medtech suite.
Morgan Stanley
Finance behemoth Morgan Stanley revealed the extension of its OpenAI-based tools. The bank introduced AskResearchGPT, the second iteration of its 2023 AI chatbot.
Moreover, users can get answers to their queries that cover just about anything within Morgan Stanley's ecosystem.
Everything Else
Sotheby's Inc.
Interestingly, auction specialist Sotheby's is featuring its first AI painting. The piece by "Ai-Da Robot" depicts Sir Alan Turing and is (reportedly) worth around $120,000.
British Oxford gallerist Aidan developed "MelleAi-Da Robot."
Statement on AI Training
Similarly, several thousand artists from the global creative industry have signed a statement warning about the use of AI. The artists allege that using creative work to train AI models is copyright infringement.
Furthermore, Radiohead singer Thom Yorke and actor Julianne Moore are among the signatories, alongside several leading industry associations.
European Parliament/Anthropic
Across the pond, the European Parliamentary archives have a new search tool thanks to Anthropic. With the tool from the Claude maker, the archive bot answers user queries from 1952 to 1994 records.
According to Anthropic, the bot executes ten times more search queries and eliminates search periods by up to eighty percent compared to the previous tool.

Perplexity AI
Stateside, Perplexity AI is giving the big dogs a run for their money with $500 million fundraising plans. Once completed, Perplexity will be worth $8 billion.
Genie AI
Across the pond in the United Kingdom, Legaltech startup Genie raised £13.3 million (approximately $17.25 million) in a Series A funding round. Google Ventures led the round with assistance from Khosla Ventures.
DataCrunch
Finnish AI startup DataCrunch raised $13 million in a seed funding round on the other side of Europe. byFounders led the efforts, which included J12 Ventures and several angel investors.
